IWC Centre venue for free AOD training
The IWC Health & Wellbeing Centre is the venue for two FREE Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) training courses in April.
On 17 April, the AOD Crash Course will be held, followed by the Family Inclusive Practice workshop on 17 April.
This is part of the way IWC is continuing to support the delivery of positive initiatives that benefit our community, as we all work together to address the issue of Ice and other drugs.
IWC hosted the 2016 Bundaberg Region Community Ice Forum, which involved more than 80 delegates from 46 organisations, groups and businesses. It delivered an action plan that included training for frontline service providers dealing with the issue of Ice and other drugs in our region.
That forum was co-facilitated by Jeff Buckley of Queensland Health’s Metro North Mental Health – Alcohol and Drug Services, which runs the Insight AOD training initiative. The training to be delivered at the IWC Health & Wellbeing Centre at 184 Barolin St, Bundaberg, will be delivered by the Insight team.
